Murry, Otis Glenn

Funeral services for Otis Glenn Murry were held Thursday, March 2 in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front St., West Union at 11 a.m. with Reverend Charles Elliott officiating, under the direction of Spurgeon Funeral Home. Interment was in the Masonic Memorial Park, Crystal Lake, West Union with military graveside rites conducted by the combined military organizations of Doddridge County.

Otis Glenn Murry, 75, of West Union, West Virginia departed this life on Monday, February 27, 2006 in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

He was born February 23, 1931 in Colfax.

His parents, Acie Henry and Ione Thompson Murry and his companion, Leona Bonnell, friend, preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memory include one sister, Margaret Murry of Phoenix, AZ; five brothers, Acie Henry Murry, Jr. of Jonesville, Louisiana, Leroy Murry, Ernest Murry and Dwane Murry, all of Colfax and Patrick Murry, of Haynesville, Louisiana.

Otis Murry owned and operated OG Murry Drilling Company and retired from the Oil and Gas Industry. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Army.
