• Obituary, 1937. Mr. J. B. Sikes Buried Last Saturday

Funeral services for J. B. Sikes, 69, of Winnsboro, who died Thursday, April 29th at a Vicksburg sanitarium, were held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Christian church here, with Rev. Crayton S. Brooks, pastor of the First Christian church of Monroe, officiating, assisted by Rev. Dan Terry, and Rev. J. H. Keys.

Interment was made in the Masonic cemetery at Crowville.

Mr. Sikes is survived by his widow, Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Sikes; four daughters, Mrs. J. R. Smith, Mrs. S. E. Smith, Mrs. Lee Burris, and Mrs. Sarah Lee Sanders of Fort Necessity, two sons, Elvin Sikes and Reuben Sikes of Winnsboro.
