Graveside services celebrating the life of Mrs. Lettie Virginia Day Murry will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2011 with her son, Thomas E. Murry, officiating. Interment will be in Liberty Chapel Cemetery, Williana, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria.
Mrs. Murry, 94, of Alexandria, passed from this life Saturday, November 19, 2011, at the residence of her niece.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Okla E. Murry; parents, James Marshall and Sally May Pebbles Day, and her four brothers and fourteen sisters.
Mrs. Lettie Day Murry leaves to cherish her memory; a son, Thomas E. Murry and his wife Barbara; daughters, Dorothy L. Murry and Ellen "Polly" Murry Davis; niece, Mary Virginia Rizzo and her husband Jasper; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Lettie married Okla Erskin Murry, son of Jackson Lee Murry and Mary Aldora Murry. (Okla Erskin Murry was born on 11 Sep 1910 in LA, died on 28 Jun 2000 and was buried in Liberty Chapel Cemetery, Williana, Grant Parish , LA.)
