• Obituary. Bennie Murray, age 72, of Winnfield, LA, passed away at Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield. He was retired from Plum Creek, where he served as a supt. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where he served as executive Sec. of the Winnfield Ward. Bennie served in the Gulf State Missions as a Young Men's Pres. He served his country in the U. S. Marine Reserve. He was also a member of Ducks Unlimited, the NRA and he was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was the son of the late Willie Murray and the late Nellie Pratt Murray.
Survivors: his wife of 53 years, Mildred Murray; son, Monte I. Murray; daughters, Vicky M. Keiffer, Kelly M. Swisher and Sonya M. Tenczynski; sister, Geraldine Chandler; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
