Dorthy Mitchell

  Noted events in her life were:

• Obituary. Dorothy Gray Gernandt, went home on Friday July 29, 2011 at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by several family members including most recently her oldest daughter Jean Barrett and daughter-in-law Rebecca Gray. She is survived by her remaining children June Hutson and husband Bob, Larry Gray, Kenny Gray and wife Susan, a sister Helen Jackson, and a brother Charlie Mitchell. Dorothy will be missed by her grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She lived a long life including periods as a working mom. Her undying devotion to her kids was unprecedented. She took great pleasure in spending time with them.
Visitation will be held for Dorothy at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 21723 Aldine Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338, Phone 281-443-3340, on Wednesday August 3, 2011 at 10:00 AM followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 AM at the same location. A private burial will take place at the VA Cemetery in Houston, TX.

Dorthy married Junious Gray, son of Alexander M "Alex" Gray and Kate Williamson. (Junious Gray was born on 2 Jun 1913, died on 21 Sep 1968 and was buried in Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Harris, TX.)

Dorthy next married George E Gernandt. (George E Gernandt was born on 17 Apr 1922, died on 3 Mar 1996 and was buried in Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Harris, TX.)
