• Obituary. Rose M. Chessher, 74 of Mooringsport, LA passed away June 9, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, June 13, 2014 at Mooringsport Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Roy Strother and Rev. Kent Rhoads. Burial will follow at Mooringsport Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mooringsport, LA. There will be a visitation from 6-8 pm on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, LA. There will also be a family viewing time before the service at the church.
Rose was born in Lillie, LA on February 15, 1940 to Clayton and Lydia Murry. She has lived in Mooringsport since 1976. She was a member of the Mooringsport Baptist Church. Mom loved her church very much and she loved singing in the church choir. She loved her 2 cats Cagney and Lacy.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Clayton Murry and Joe Murry and her grandson Aaron Paul. She is survived by her 4 children; Brenda G. Lee and husband Robert of Enid, OK, Debra Singh of Monroe, LA, Dennis Bond and wife Tana of Gray, TX and Toni McDaniel of Blanchard, LA, her sister Joy Simmons of Shreveport, 2 brothers, Paul Murry of Blanchard and James Randal Murry of Marshall, TX, 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
