• Obituary. DeWanna Lynn Young
Funeral services for DeWanna Lynn Young, age 60 of Urania, will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home in Olla, Louisiana with Sister Cherish Peppers officiating. Interment will follow at Urania Cemetery, Urania, Louisiana. The family will have a visitation at the funeral home in Olla from 11 AM until time of service at 2 PM.

DeWanna Lynn Young was born March 4, 1962, to the union of her parents, Olen Overton Murry and JoAnn Street Murry Albritton, and she passed from this life, April 16, 2022, after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her father, Olen Murry; her step-father, Johnny Albritton; husband, Davis L. Young; son, Davis O. Young; and brother, James Murry.

DeWanna was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend. She had a big heart and was a nurturer, who enjoyed taking care of others. She loved life. She had a big personality and never met a stranger. The light of her life was her grandson, Thaniel, who she raised and loved beyond measure. She will be truly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, JoAnn Albritton; her son, Daylin Young; daughter, Jackie Deann Aycock (Johnny); sister, Tammy Wilson (Billy); her beloved grandson, Thaniel Young; special nephew, Robbie Howell; numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jerod Foster, Garth Wilson, Billy Street, Daniel Eubanks, Jeremy Lee, and Kevin Howell. Honorary pallbearers are Colby Murry, Trace Murry, and Luke Wilson.

Dewanna married Davis L Young. (Davis L Young was born on 15 Apr 1952 in Jena, LaSalle, LA, died on 26 May 2018 and was buried in Union Cemetery, Sadie, Union, LA.)
