Carter, of Dry Prong, killed in Vietnamon May 8 during hostile action, were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Zion Hill Baptist Church at Williana.Carter is survived by three brothers, Quincy Carter of Pass Christian, Miss.,Dewey Carter of Dry Prong, and Elvin Rogers of Farmerville; three sisters,Miss Linda Carter of Dry Prong, Mrs. Robert Chellette of Colfax, and Mrs. Ross Smith of Vidalia; and his mother, Mrs. Ina Carter of Dry Prong.Burial was in Liberty Chapel Cemetery under direction of Hixson's Funeral Home at Winnfield. Rev. Bobby Hodnett and Rev. Glyn Mixon officiated at thefuneral services.
