• Obituary. John Winfred Cryer, age 83 of Kirbyville, Texas died Tuesday, May 1, 2014 at Avalon Place in Kirbyville.
Funeral services were held 10am Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville, Texas.
Burial will be in Cannon Cemetery in Merryville, Louisiana.
A native of Merryville, he had lived in Kirbyville since 1984 and was a retired millwright. He was also a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Moore Cryer of Kirbyville, step children, Charles and Cheryl Moore of Beaumont, Texas, John and Terri Moore of Winnie, Texas and Sheila and James Bingham of Silsbee, Texas, brothers, Jimmy and Peggy Cryer of Newton, Texas and Loyil Cryer of Pineville, Louisiana, his sister, Lora May of Central Point, Oregon, along with 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
