[This census document is assumed to belong to Delilah Ward Murry because the name, ages and location fit and also because this person is listed next to two Wards, Needham Ward and Ann Ward which matches her maiden name. Also, Wayne Bennett was contacted years ago by a Ward researcher and pointed him to this Ward/Murray connection.]
• Notes. In the 1917 Sarah Lee Windham letter, she wrote "My grandma Murry died at my mothers with a tumor on her breast".
Some people believe name might have been Worde
From 1917 Sarah Lee Windham letter: "She [Elizabeth] was the only girl. Tha lived in S C. raised two boys and one girl. The oldest boy was named James, the youngest John."
"Delilah Worde while a girl and generl Lees parence moved from SC some years before mine dide and went on further and his farther I think was John or Nedome"
Delilah married Archibald Murry, son of Unknown and Unknown, in 1796. (Archibald Murry was born in 1775 in Ireland and died in 1805 in Sea.)
