Mr. Gene Aubry Loe, age 69, of Williana, La., passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield, La. Mr. Loe was a 1955 graduate of Dry Prong High School. He was retired from the Texaco Oil Company after 28 years of service and was a member and Deacon of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Williana, La.
He was the son of the late Prentis M. Loe and the late Lois O. (Murray) Loe.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Pauline (Chandler) Loe of Williana, La;
Two Daughters, Cheryl Speaker and husband John of Alexandria, La.; Paula Loe of Dallas, Texas
One Brother, Malcolm W. Loe and wife Martha Jane of Brandon, Miss.
One Grandson, James Wooten of Williana, La.
One Granddaughter, Ashley Wooten of Alexandria, La.
Mr. Loe also leaves behind many precious friends
The family will receive friends at the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Williana, La. from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday, February 22, 2007 and from 8:00 AM to service time Friday, February 23, 2007. Funeral services will be held at Zion Hill Baptist Church at 10:00 AM Friday,with Rev. Doug James and Rev. Mack Brunson officiating. Interment will be at Liberty Chapel Cemetery in Williana, La. under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
Gene married Pauline Chandler, daughter of Paul William Chandler and Roberta Elosie, on 31 Dec 1960 in Dry Prong, Grant, LA. (Pauline Chandler was born on 6 Jun 1943 in Urania, LaSalle, LA.)
