Funeral services for Mrs. Rachel Parker Green, 89, of West Monroe, will be held Tuesday, September 4th, 2007, at 10:00AM in the Chapel of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Rick Crandall officiating. Interment will follow in the Farmerville City Cemetery, Farmerville, LA, under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.

Mrs. Green was born May 21st, 1918, in Marion, LA, to Samuel and Ella Mae Parker and passed away on Sunday, September 2nd, 2007, in West Monroe, LA. She was a homemaker and member of McClendon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Matas, on February 13th, 2006; her great grandson, Justin Deal; her parents and 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Survivors include her sons, Gary Green and wife, Nancy, and Ronnie Green and wife, Sue, all of West Monroe; her daughter, Sherry Miller of Palm City, FL; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and her sister, Laura R. Rossen of Dallas, TX.

Grandsons and special friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Landmark Nursing Center, Hospice Care of Louisiana, and the loving and caring members and staff of McClendon Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to the McClendon Baptist Church Children's Building Fund.

Visitation will be Monday evening, September 3rd, 2007, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
