• Obituary, 14 Mar 2012. SIKES Kenneth Sikes, Sr. Funeral services for Kenneth Sikes, Sr., age 71 of Marrero, will be held at 1 PM Saturday, March 17, 2012 from the sanctuary of Urania Baptist Church in Urania, LA with Bro. Bo Prather officiating. Interment will follow at Olla Cemetery in Olla, LA. Visitation will be Friday evening at Riser Funeral Home in Olla, LA from 5 PM to 8 PM then again Saturday morning at the church from 10 AM until time of service. Mr. Sikes was born on April 20, 1940 in Chase, LA to the union of Lloyd and Annie Killingsworth Sikes and passed from this life on March 14, 2012 in Olla, LA. He was retired with Gray Tool after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Marrero Baptist Church and the Golden Age Club of Marrero. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: George Sikes and Travis Sikes and sister, Shirley Cook. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Gates Sikes of Marrero, LA; three sons: Kenneth Sikes, Jr. and wife, Sheila of Bryan, TX, Kerry Sikes and wife, Mellonie of Irvington, AL and Kevin Sikes and wife, Jennifer of Monticello, MS; daughter, Sharron Ladd and husband, Shea Evans of Kenner, LA; two sisters: Laverne Roshto of Urania, LA and Billie Neathery of Olla, LA, seven grandchildren: Scott Sikes, Kaycee Christian, Karlee Sikes, Kade Sikes, Gage Brister, Grace Sikes and Payden Evans and seven great-grandchildren: Khloe Christian, Catherine Sikes, Kirstin Sikes, Alexandria Sikes, Michael Geronme, Brady Geronme and Grace Geronme.
