Bernice - Services for Mrs. Maude Tommie Spencer, 95, will be at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday in Pisgah Baptist Church in Bernice with the Revs. Jack Borden and
David Weeks officiating.
Burial will be in the Bernice Cemetery.
Mrs. Spencer died Monday in Tri-Ward Hospital in Bernice after a short
illness.
She was a native of Union Parish and a member of Pisgah Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Frank McDougle of Bernice; five daughters, Mrs.
Louise Bishop, and Mrs. Laura Tubbs, both of Borger, Texas, Mrs. Estelle
Gresham, Mrs. Dorothy Kelly and Mrs. Jessie Bryan, all of Bernice; a brother
L.D. Murry of Camden, Ark.; several grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Maude married William J "Will" McDougal, son of Charlie McDougald and Catherine, 1901 abt. (William J "Will" McDougal was born on 15 Jan 1865, died on 26 Jan 1914 and was buried in McDougal Cemetery, Farmerville, Union, LA.)

Maude next married Jesse Newton Spencer, son of William P Spencer and Sallie. (Jesse Newton Spencer was born on 8 Dec 1889, died on 21 Feb 1977 and was buried in Bernice Cemetery, Bernice, Union, LA.)
