• Obituary. Troy J. Murry Sr.
Troy J. Murry, Sr., 80, of Forest Hill died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.
He was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth S. Murry of Forest Hill; a son T.J. Murry Jr. of Woodworth; a daughter, Bessie L. Swanson of Glenmora; two brothers, Loy T. Murry of McNary and Oklie Murry of Mississippi; a sister, Winnie Slater of Colfax; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 4 p.m. today in Amaible Baptist Church, Glenmora, with Revs. Alvin Stockman and Bert Riddles officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Rush, Oakdale.
Friends may call at the church after 2 p.m. today.
Troy married Elizabeth Sanders, daughter of Charlie J Sanders and Bessie Wilks, 1928 abt. (Elizabeth Sanders was born on 25 Jul 1909 in MS, died on 4 Nov 2002 and was buried in Amiable Baptist Church, Rapides Parish, LA.)
